For State Leaders, HR Professionals, Peer Supporters, and Safety Professionals

CSEAP is excited to provide statewide universal policy and threat assessment training in June 2023. Threat assessment best practices for the workplace, including universal policy overviews, will be provided during this 20 hour training. 

Kirsten Olson, PhD, ABPP is a Board-Certified Clinical Psychologist licensed in Colorado, California, and Nevada. She holds a Certificate in Threat Management from the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. Dr. Olson is the President of Threat Management Consultants, LLC. Dr. Olson will provide 16 hours of live virtual training over two days which will include a review of evidence-based practices as outlined by the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) and the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NaBITA). Risk factors and interventions for workplace violence will be highlighted. Interactive scenarios will be facilitated. Janeen Haller-Abernethy, Director of Colorado State Employee Assistance Program will provide an introductory overview of various state universal policies including Workplace Violence including Domestic Violence Affecting the Workplace, Psychological Fitness for Duty, and the Drug and Alcohol (Impairment) policies.
