This month, we'd like to spotlight one of our amazing counselors.

Nhia Cheng, LPC, Staff SupervisorNhia Cheng, Counselor, sits in a chair smiling.

Nhia has 15 years of experience providing social service support, community mental health counseling and EAP services. She has experience working with adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and relationship stressors.

What are a few things you're proud to contribute at CSEAP?  
"I am proud to have the opportunity to utilize my therapy expertise to support all state employees. I take pride in contributing diverse perspectives and a calmer energy to facilitate compassion and understanding among individuals. I am able to foster psychological safety for discussions on diversity, inclusion, and equity."

What do you enjoy about your position?
"I enjoy coordinating the financial assistance program, being able to provide some financial support for state employees and seeing their stress level reduce is incredibly rewarding."
