Confidential Counseling

CSEAP provides short-term solution-focused counseling to state employees using a variety of evidence-informed modalities. Our clinicians are licensed by the State of Colorado or are graduate or doctoral students who are supervised by our licensed staff. All State of Colorado employees are eligible to receive 8 sessions of no-cost confidential counseling per rolling year. Counseling sessions, using the brief solution-focused model, are provided by the Colorado State Employee Assistance Program (also known as CSEAP). Family members, ages 15 and older, are also eligible for counseling if the state employee chooses to give their sessions to the family member or loved one.

The following is a listing of some of the many reasons that state employees use their 8 counseling sessions per rolling year:

  • Personal relationship concerns
  • Workplace stressors
  • Phase of Life changes
  • Anxiety, stress, and depression
  • Substance abuse or addiction
  • Grief and loss
  • Stress associated with finances, parenting, caregiving, etc.

CSEAP provides individual, couple, and family counseling.
