CSEAP is currently partnering with the University of Denver to study the effects of lack of licensure portability on state employees and their access to supportive resources. This study, led by CSEAP graduate social work intern Dominique Zimmerman, analyzes the narratives provided by employees to build an argument for changes to current mental health practice laws. The results of the study will be used to learn more about licensure limitations and telehealth accessibility across state lines.

With COVID-19, the country saw a large shift to employees working hybrid location models or completely remote. Services in some states were able to adjust temporarily by allowing telehealth access across state lines. However, as things settle into a new normal, states have returned to their state-bound practice restrictions. This study aims to demonstrate the need for flexible practice laws.

If you would like to participate in the study, please complete the qualifying survey by April 10thhttps://forms.gle/FaYyBgWypsg8hJsj6.
