Before May ends, we'd like to introduce you to one of our amazing counselors.
Lana Gosenca, LCSW, LAC
Lana has over 10 years of experience practicing as a therapist in various settings, including outpatient addiction treatment, community mental health, and integrated primary care. Lana has extensive experience working with survivors of trauma, especially providing EMDR therapy, and additionally is certified as an EMDR approved consultant.
What are a few things you're proud to contribute at CSEAP?
I'm proud to be able to offer my range of skills as a therapist, which includes approaching each session prepared to meet my clients where they are at and cater my treatment approach to their unique needs, using approaches from various modalities I practice. I'm proud to be able to continue growing in my experience providing short-term/solution focused therapy, and aim to make every counseling session a beneficial use of an employee's time, whether we meet once or 8 times.
What do you enjoy about your position?
Being new to working for the state myself, I'm enjoying getting to know employees from a variety of departments and positions, and learning about the unique ways everyone contributes to our awesome state! But at the end of the day, what I most enjoy is helping people through therapy, and love having the opportunity to do so for state employees free of cost to them.
