The holiday season can be a time for celebration and increased stress. One way to manage holiday stressors is to recognize these feelings and create a plan to cope. Holiday blues are temporary feelings of sadness, loneliness, and even anxiety that occur during the holiday season. These feelings are not usually a sign of a serious mental health concern and occur due to increased stress.

The UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence has developed and shared a few tools to address the stress associated with the holidays. We invite you to explore them to help with navigating stress and the blues that you may feel during this season.
